Embiid: "She denied me back then; there's no reason to go back to her."

Joel Embiid, excuse me, All Star starter Joel Embiid, is no longer interested in his former crush, Rihanna

Following last night's victory over the Boston Celtics, Embiid was asked whether he would finally have a shot with Rihanna now that he's officially an All Star. His response: "She denied me back then; there's no reason to go back to her," Embiid said. "So I gotta move on to the next one. There's a lot of pretty women out there, and I'm beautiful, so I gotta move on to the next one."

Even before Joel Embiid broke into the NBA he was shooting his shot at RiRi, attempting to get her attention via social media on several different occasions. Finally, in 2014 he tweeted, "I was trying to get with this famous girl and she said, 'Come back when you're an All-Star.'"

However, now that he's reached that goal, Embiid says he's moving on. Following last night's post-game interview, fans of "The Process" bombarded Rihanna's IG with comments about Embiid.

The NBA on TNT crew announced the 2018 All Star starters last night. In addition to Joel Embiid, the Eastern Conference will be represented by Kyrie Irving, DeMar DeRozan, Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James, who had the most votes overall.

Starters from the Western Conference include James Harden, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Steph Curry, who had the most votes in the West and will therefore be a captain opposite LeBron.
