Trick Daddy, CeeLo Green, and Big Boi blessed us with the quintessential summer anthem.

It's Thursday, and thus, today's throwback will take us back to the summer of 2002. The unified talents of Trick Daddy, CeeLo Green, and Big Boi formed over a guitar-driven piece of masterwork from Jazze Pha, leading to the infectious charm of "In Da Wind." Soundtracking backyard parties and cookouts galore, the nostalgic anthem has withstood the test of time as one of the game's truly underappreciated bangers.

Though Trick Daddy and Big Boi hold it down with stellar contributions, CeeLo Green sets the booth ablaze with one of the hardest verses in recent memory. Though some younger listeners may simply remember Green for the radio-friendly stylings of "Fuck You," or to a lesser extent, Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy, let it be known - the man can rap. Sliding into proceedings with the finesse of your possessed favorite uncle, CeeLo absolutely spazzes with a bevvy of flows. "Hardcore, rocking Sean John velour to the floor,  CeeLo will endure with the loaded four-four," he raps, seamlessly tagging in, "be sure and acquire more 'fore ya fuck with mine, disrespect I'll disconnect ya line."

Those around during the era where music videos reigned supreme can no doubt attest to the glories of "In Da Wind." Even today, sixteen years later, the song remains one of the genre's quintessential summer anthems. Trick love the kids.

Quotable Lyrics

Hardcore, rocking Sean John velour to the floor,
CeeLo will endure with the loaded four-four
Be sure and acquire more 'fore ya fuck with mine,
Disrespect I'll disconnect ya line."
