Just a month removed from the release of his PRhyme 2 project with DJ Premier, Detroit emcee Royce Da 5’9” decides to share his new solo album called Book Of Ryan, named after his government name Ryan Montgomery.

Laced with 21 songs in total, the follow up to Layers features guest appearance from Eminem, Boogie, Pusha T, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Logic, T-Pain, J. Cole, who appears on the previously heard single “Boblo Boat,” and more. Meanwhile production is handled by DJ Khalil, Frank Duke, Cool & Dre, S1, !llmind, and 808-Ray among others.

Dubbed as Royce’s most personal album ever, the Detroit emcee said he put everything he had into this album, spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially.

“Everything that I’ve learned, that I went through in life up to this point, I put that all into this album,” he told us in an exclusive interview. “Along with everything from my childhood that made me the kind of person I am. You’ll get a sense of why it took so long to develop on that level, why I started drinking, everything. I pretty much put everything. I financially exhausted myself. Physically exhausted myself. Mentally exhausted myself. I finished this album, and damn near banged my fist against the track board, in tears. This shit is finally out of me. It was that type of feeling.”

Out now on iTunes, fans can stream the project in its entirety via Apple Music. Hit play and let us know what record you’re feeling the most?
