A day after Tyler, The Creator remixed Jacquees' "No Validation" on his track, "Gelato," Tyler is back again with yet another remix of one of his favorite songs. This time, Tyler takes on Stone's Throw artist Prophet, and his new-funk track, "I Wanna Be Your Man."
The resulting track, titled "Peach Fuzz" takes on a very different lyrical tone from the original. Rather than a confession of love, Tyler instead is concerned about whether or not his relationship even has a future. Even if the song is about a break-up, the instrumentals fall squarely into the shimmering, summertime instrumentals that Tyler has come to prefer on his sappier songs.
In recent memory, Tyler has done covers of Kanye and Kid Cudi's Kids See Ghosts, Drake and Trouble's "Bring It Back," and many others.
Tyler is on a roll with these new remixes, and his pace for releasing them appears to be getting faster as well. While the new music is appreciated, he might want to consider keeping some of these ideas for whenever he decides to release his follow up to Flower Boy.
Check out Tyler's new remix, "Peach Fuzz" and let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics
Tyler, Tyler, he got caught up,
Now they taking my ricotta,
Bunch of lawyers and 'your honors',
