After January came and went without the release of EarthGang's Royalty EP, the duo has set a new release date for the project. The forthcoming effort will see release February 23rd, according to a post from EarthGang's official Twitter account. "[S]orry for the delay," they wrote.
Royalty is the closing chapter in a trilogy of releases from the duo, following September's Rags and October's Robots. Rags served as the group's debut release on J. Cole's Dreamville imprint, after it was announced the duo had been signed in August. Cole appears in cartoon form on the Royalty cover, revealed in January.
The group also revealed that their new single, "Nothin' But The Best," featuring Ari Lennox, would be released a few days prior to the project on February 20th. The single is produced by frequent collaborator Childish Major.
EarthGanghave previously shared plans to release their debut full-length on Dreamville after the EP. They confirmed that an LP was coming in a tweet Friday. "One more EP then the album," read the message. "Drinking water minding my business. Album later this year. Full length."
