Last week it was revealed that Nike Basketball would be releasing a special edition "Champions Think 16" Collection this year, paying tribute to NBA and WNBA champions such as Kobe Bryant, Kawhi Leonard, Maya Moore, Dr. J, Rasheed Wallace and others.
Today, Nike officially revealed the sneakers in that collection, including the "Pass The Torch" Air Jordan 1 which serves as a nod to San Antonio Spurs All-Star Kawhi Leonard. The kicks are built on a white leather upper with metallic silver overlays and a black swoosh, tongue and laces. Additionally, Kawhi Leonard's logo appears on the tongue of the left shoe, as well as on the right insole and on the bottom of the blue translucent sole. The shoes also come with a gold Larry O'Brien trophy hangtag, commemorating the Spurs' 2014 NBA championship.
The Kawhi-inspired "Pass The Torch" Air Jordan 1 is set to release on April 28th. It is believed that the kicks will be limited, as are most of the sneakers releasing as part of Nike's "Champions Think 16" Collection.
