RIP Verne.

Mike Myers appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week and spoke about his friend and castmate Verne Troyer, who passed away two weeks ago. The actor made the world laugh as mini-me in the Austin Powers movies, and appeared in several others roles that helped him amass a large fan base. Speaking with Kimmel, Myers reveals that both Barack Obama and Justin Trudeau asked about Troyer when he met them.

"Verne brought so much love to people, you know what I mean?" Myers stated emotionally. "Every day you see him, you go ‘Wow! That is a small human.' But by the end of the day, you just saw Verne. It just sort of went away. He was part of the cast and fantastic. I miss him."

Speaking on Troyer's role as mini-me, Myers said, "As written, Mini-Me is like almost a prop. But he brought it up off the page, made it better than written and we ended up giving him more and more stuff to do." Troyer's cause of death has yet to be completely revealed, but it was known that he was rushed to the hospital last month after he was discovered drunk and suicidal. He was treated for alcohol poisoning, and had battled with alcoholism for decades.
