Nipsey Hussle's career has spanned for over ten years at this point but made his official entrance in the game back in 2010. Since then, he's consistently dropped mixtapes. Now, he's gearing to release his debut album next year. However, today marks seven years since he released his mixtape, The Marathon and to celebrate, he has more music coming tomorrow with one of hip hop's most revered producers.
Nipsey Hussle took to Instagram to announce that he has a new single coming tomorrow with Swizz Beatz. The rapper said that the song "Been Down," is dropping tomorrow and explores the process of how the project came about. "7 years ago Today THE MARATHON was released.
It’s been a long time coming but we did it OUR WAY," he wrote on Instagram, "Me and @therealswizzz Made a song about the Process...and it drops 2marrow On all platforms. “BEEN DOWN” ft @therealswizzz2marrow."
While he celebrates seven years since dropping The Marathon, he's gearing to drop his debut album in February. The rapper announced that his "All Money In" label partnered with Atlantic to release Victory Lap. He kicked off the campaign with "Rap N*ggas" at the tail end of November and caught everyone's attention with it. With "Been Down" dropping tomorrow, it'll be another single to build anticipation for Nipsey's debut studio album. It's likely not going to be the last one he releases either.
