SZA will bring "CTRL" to the Radio City Music Hall stage.

2017 has served SZA well. With the release of CTRL, she made her way to the forefront of R&B music without compromising her own sounds or ideas. The album catapulted her into the mainstream and she's been soaking every moment of it. She's no longer an artist that's overshadowed by her Top Dawg Entertainment counterparts. Instead, she's built her way as the first-lady of the label who has a lot to offer. With the year closing out in a little over a month, she's looking to cap it off on a strong note.

"Saturday Night Live" has confirmed that the "Love Galore" singer will be making her very first appearance on the show this coming December. SZA will be taking the stage on December 9th with host James Franco. It's a well-deserved position for SZA. This past year, she's been popping up on several late-night shows as the musical guest so it only makes sense that she takes on one of the biggest ones to cap it off. In addition to that, hopefully we get to see her comedic chops pop out. Musical guests usually pop up for a skit so it'll be interesting to see how SZA ends up approaching it, if she does at all.

SZA will end up being the third member of Top Dawg Entertainment to touch the SNL stage. Thusfar, both Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock have popped up. The two of them popped up in 2015 around the time To Pimp A Butterfly came out. Kendrick performed "i" before bringing Jay Rock out to perform "Pay For It." Kendrick also performed on the show prior to that to perform "Swimming Pools" and "Poetic Justice" after his debut album dropped.

In other SZA related news, the singer recently took home two awards at the Soul Train Awards. She took home the award for "Best New Artist" where she beat out Khalid, H.E.R., Kevin Ross and 6lack. She also took home the award for "Best R&B/Soul Female Artist" where she competed against Kehlani, Solange, Mary J. Blige, Ledisi and Lalah Hathaway.

With an appearance on one of America's biggest shows to close out the year, the only thing we're waiting on is the deluxe edition of CTRL
