Are you even surprised?

To nobody's surprise, Avengers: Infinity War is smashing the box office. It is actually on pace to become the most lucrative film of all time, and we'll let you know when it reaches that part. In the meantime, the 19th Marvel film has proven that superhero fatigue is not a real thing, which makes sense. The comic books surrounding the same characters have survived for countless decades, and the movies will most likely walk down the same path. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has revealed that they have movies planned through 2025, with a Black Panther sequel planned somewhere in the mix (if not a trilogy).

According to Deadline, Avengers: Infinity War earned $857.3 million through Wednesday. $534.7 million of that comes from the international box office alone. The film is projected to pass $1 billion by Saturday, becoming the fastest a movie has ever made that much money. Domestically, the film made $305.9 million in the first five days, beating Star Wars: The Force Awakens to achieve the number one spot in that category. It will also beat out Star Wars in the fastest to a billion category.

Infinity War has also passed the global lifetimes of Deadpool ($783 million), X-Men: Days of Future Past  ($748 million), Suicide Squad ($747 million), Guardians of the Galaxy ($773 million), and The Amazing Spider-Man ($758 million).
