Gorillaz tap a hip-hop legend for their latest "The Now Now" single.

Gorillaz are once again in the mix. Today, the enigmatic Damon Albarn fronted group has come forth with a new single, simply titled "Hollywood." Though the entertainment capital of the world has made for plenty of material already, the lush instrumental and amalgamating genres keep this one from sounding overtly rehashed. Simply put, this one is all about hitting a groove pocket and never truly deviating.

Snoop Dogg continues to expand his web; sooner or later, the man will have a collaboration with pretty much every artist in the game under his belt. Though the Doggfather can occasionally phone it in on featured verses of this ilk, luckily, he has decided that his appearance on "Hollywood" merited some a-game. In short, Snoop delivers the same effortless flow that has kept him a staple for decades. Lyrically, he plays it safe, sticking with the "write-what-you-know" policy; in that regard, expect references to weed and success, perhaps appropriate themes for a Tinsel Town dedication.

Keep an eye out for that new Gorillaz drop, THE NOW NOW, set to land on June 29th.

Quotable Lyrics

Then I came through with that big fat chain on my neck
Little did they know, no sweat
So I dimmed out, rimmed out and cracked the glass
Twenty-five pounds, can you match that bag?
Cause if you not, raise up
I got a deal to make
And couple of bad bitches I've been making a break
