Future is known to spend a lot of time in the studio. On top of constantly writing his own material, the FBG leader is increasingly being tapped for songwriting and hook-singing duties for other artists. Fewch has recently lent his voice to tracks like Ace Hood's "Bugatti", and written for artists such as Ciara, Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez. The Pluto-born rapper is also hard at work on his sophomore album, Future Hendrix, to which he spoke at length about with Life + Times' Shaheem Reid.
On his expectations for the record, the auto-tuned crooner voiced much excitement."It's everything. It's gonna be one of the best albums of this year, if not the greatest album of this year, as far as the new new, the fresh, the sound of it" he exclaimed.
The multi-tasking rapper revealed that he has an excessive amount of songs lined up for the album.“I've got over 300 songs to pick from” he said, adding that he will often write multiple songs daily. "I did Busta Rhymes, Trae The Truth, and a Rihanna song in one day". He revealed that Rihanna would come to him with requests for hits, impersonating her, "Future I need that hot new...", adding that the star was a "super cool girl".
On who he'd be working with on the album, Future replied with "Wayne of course," indicating that the two have a very organic songwriting connection. "Me and dude, we just on the same page without even talking," he said, adding,"we just go in chill, and cool out, do what we do, and be creative, and come out with hits."
Future also announced that Drake and Nicki Minaj would make appearances on the album, as well as hinting at a feature from a Dungeon Family veteran.“I'm in works with 'dre 3000, just going over ideas”
