2 Chainz is reinventing his popular "Trap House" concept in Atlanta as a place where residents and tourists can discover the South's biggest winter wonderland.
According to Billboard, the Pretty Girls Like Trap Music rapper has spearheaded the creation of a "Trap Wonderland" in time for the holidays, complete with an impressive light setup and activities that children can partake in throughout the day. To be clear, this isn't the same house that was painted pink and wound up becoming an impromptu tourist attraction earlier this summer. Once the lease ended a little while ago, the "Trap House" trappings were cleared off the property and the house repainted. However, that hasn't stopped the rapper from using the idea to spread some holiday cheer.
Set up next to his management company's offices, the facade of the old house was recreated to near-perfection, with festive lights decorating nearly every inch of the parking lot where the house front and other Christmas-themed decorations have been erected. The response so far from passerby has been very positive, all of whom seem to have immersed themselves in an experience that includes a mobile app that can be used to accompany the on-site activities and a gift shop that features the image of a dabbing Santa Claus on the front of a sweater. Sounds like Christmas in the ATL is going to be more dope than ever this year.
Elsewhere, 2 Chainz has also been taking a stand and supporting another outspoken cultural figure, LaVar Ball. Basketball's most famous dad has seen himself get entangled in a Twitter war of sorts with President Donald Trump and, like many who have spoken out against Trump's barbs, Chainz isn't having any of it. In fact, he took to Instagram and stated that he would be buying up some Big Baller Brand merchandise in solidarity. It's a show of support that will not only warm the Ball patriarch's heart, but might also see his bank account balance grow in the process. Can you say win-win?
