070 Shake traversed the speed bumps in her life all by herself, and that stubborn streak remains true, opting to star in her new video on her lonesome behind a dark curtain drop. "I Laugh When I'm With Friends But Sad When I'm Alone," the first track on her debut EP Glitter now gets the video treatment.
In "I Laugh When I'm With Friends But Sad When I'm Alone," performs unregulated movements as if she were the subject of a MoMa performance piece, the quality of which directly offsets the upbeat nature of the piano bassline, and the profundity of her lyrics. It's no wonder G.O.O.D. Music benefit from good artistic direction and curation, but sometimes they come bearing those gifts from the start.
Although not included in the 7-track G.O.O.D. Music rollout, Glitter comes to us a well sanded product. 070 Shake will inevitably force her way into the conversation, especially after receiving writing credits on Teyana's K.T.S.E, and contributing on both Pusha T and Nas solo efforts.
