It’s been a minute since we last heard from buzzing Philly teen rapper Zero. In fact, the last time he impacted our website was back in June with the release of the Play Picasso-produced song “Down,” but thankfully the drought ends here today. Making his return to HNHH, Zero teams up with Shy Grey for the new track “Just Like You.”
Over the violin & rock-infused production from Andrew Meoray, the Philly spitter (who’s cadence has been compared to that of Eminem’s) shows off his aggressive & slick lyrical wordplay, while reflecting on a past relationship in the process & reminding the haters that they’ll never be just like him. No word yet as for where this will end up, but let’s hope there’s more on the way because this shit’s lowkey dope.
Hit play and let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics:
I keep my vision straight
You know my time ain’t free
You swore you had it all
don’t trust what I can’t see
You know I lost my way
I found where I should be
You were wrong if you’ll think that you’ll be just like me
