The artist formerly known as Young Thug is planning to release his new project Jeffery very soon, but he’s been cagey as to exactly when. Last we heard, Travi$ Scott (who has his own project delay issues) was causing the hold up due to a verse he hadn’t submitted yet. While we haven’t heard anything more about the collaboration between Thugger and Travi$ Scott, last night Young Thug post a video on Instagram apologizing to his fans for the delay in the project. This time he laid blame on the album’s cover photo, which he did not feel was up to his own (or his fans’) standards.
To placate his fans, he teased a new song featuring former Fugees member Wyclef Jean, and posted a video of the Haitian artist singing him happy birthday and referring to him as "Mr. Jeffery" (Young Thug’s birthday was August 16). The post suggested a song between the two artists would be coming out within the next hour, but so far nothing has surfaced. Keep it locked here for more information.
Even if nothing comes of this we're impressed with Thugger's drive to keep making music, even on his birthday. He last stated that he would only be going by "No, My Name is Jeffery" for one week.
