Young Thug is quickly becoming a polarizing figure within the rap game. His warble/mumble raps, adapted from ATLiens like Future, makes people pick sides: it's either love or hate. As the rapper's stock continues to rise, Complex has tapped the intriguing personality for the cover of their new issue.
The cover is a black & white extreme close up of Thugga's grills and his septum piercing. Complex's interview seems to reiterate the general consensus about Thug-- he misses his photo shoot for them twice, choosing to stay in the ATL rather than fly to NYC, and doesn't give a fuck about an interview. Producer and collaborator Dun Deal, who's been working with Thug since 2009, confirms with Complex that the rapper has always been this "eccentric" in both fashion style and music.
Complex eventually got their photo shoot with rising rapper done (in Atlanta, mind you), flanked by Birdman. It only makes sense, considering Thug has stated over and over again how his one and only influence is Young Money's Lil Wayne. (His answer to if he will appear on Tha Carter V is "yes, no, yes").
