The New Orleans-bred, Quality Control-signed trap sanga known as Young Greatness has come through with his new project: I Tried to Tell Em 2, the sequel to the tape he dropped last summer. That project contained his breakout hit, the Jazze Pha-produced "Moolah," which has had a remarkable shelf-life, still picking up airplay right now -- especially thanks to the remix the song received in May, featuring Lil Wayne and Yo Gotti. Greatness has since dropped off two more tracks that are starting to buzz, "Ball" and "Celebration," the latter featuring his mentor and stylistic forebearer, Akon. Both songs land on I Tried to Tell Em 2.
In addition, the new project includes 10 new songs. Aside from Akon, the lone feature comes from S-8ighty, and on the production side, Greatness has enlisted ATL talents like Dun Deal, Nard & B, Isaac Flame, and MariiBeatz. St. Louis producer Haz Futcha is behind 5 of the 12 tracks.
