This weekend, Kanye West performed two back to back shows, both live renditions of his 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak. During both nights, 'Ye brought out a few of the album's original collaborators, including Kid Cudi, Mr. Hudson, and Jeezy. There was an elaborate stage curated just for the show, featuring a step pyramid beneath a giant color-changing moon-like ball. There was also a full orchestral string section, an electronic backing band (with Mike Dean on guitar), and a full cast of costumed dancers and performance artists.
Whereas night 1 featured a few minor slip-ups, night 2 was a seamless reenactment of Kanye's lofty vision. Watch videos of each song from the the performance below. ("Coldest Winter" is especially beautiful).
