The 2014 Billboard Music Awards are currently unfolding at MGM's Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Ludacris holding down hosting duties for the evening, his first time doing so for this particular event.
Artists scheduled to perform throughout the evening include Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Lorde, Shakira, Imagine Dragons, Miley Cyrus, Ricky Martin, John Legend and a hologram appearance from none other than Michael Jackson, whose new posthumous album Xscape just dropped.
[Update: Watch Performances From The Michael Jackson Hologram, Iggy Azalea, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez & More]
Pitbull kicked the night off with his FIFA World Cup single "We Are One," supported by Jennifer Lopez and Brazilian singer Cláudia Leitte. Iggy Azalea performed her single "Fancy" with support from Charli XCX and the University of Las Vegas' Rebels cheerleading squad, also assisting Ariana Grande with her new single "Problem."
Watch Hologram Michael's uncanny and elaborate performance of his posthumous single "Slave To The Rhythm" below, followed by sets from Pitbull, Iggy, Ariana, Shakira, Lorde and Katy Perry (whose performance was broadcast live from the UK). Stay tuned for further updates, folks - there's surely more footage to come.
[Update: Watch Further Performances From Jason Derulo, John Legend, Robin Thicke & More]
As anticipated, the rest of the footage has arrived, including but not limited to performances from Jason Derulo, John Legend and Robin Thicke. There was also a duet between Miley Cyrus and Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, whose set, like Katy Perry's, was broadcast live from the UK.
Thicke took the opportunity to premiere a new single titled "Get Her Back," apparently dedicated to his wife and high school sweetheart Paula Patton, with whom he recently split. Before his performance of the song, he asked the audience to help him "get her back." The track has since hit the web in CDQ form, and you can listen to it here.
Otherwise, you can watch everything mentioned above below.
