Wasiu pays homage to his hometown of Montreal on his latest record, which is also named after Montreal native and hockey player P.K. Subban. The record comes a month after his music video for "Outer Space."
The record features production flittering with electronic noises and booming bass, while Wasiu makes many references to the city- from the metro to the STM to the Expos. Apparently the rapper was inspired after reading an interview with Drake, where the Toronto rapper mentioned wanting to make a hit for his city in the same way Wiz Khalifa did with "Black & Yellow." We'll have to see if "P.K. Subban" does the trick for Wasiu.
Quotable Lyrics
I'll put the city on the map
Gotta do it for the children
Once I do I'll bring it back
P.K. Subban dropping millions
