As you might have seen, Wale made headlines when he became the first rapper to open up the President's State of the Union Address on Tuesday night. The rapper performed "Chillin" and "LoveHate Thing" before President Obama took the reigns. That itself is a news-worthy enough feat, however Wale has made today even more memorable by announcing his next album: Shine.
The album title also comes on the heels of a new record, "Powerball," in light of the lottery rising to a record-breaking $1.5 billion (who has tickets??).
There aren't many details on Wale's fifth studio album yet, so we'll keep you posted. For now, the rapper has been alluding to the album on twitter.
Performed at the "State of the Union" .. #SOTU.. 🔵🌙 #shine on the universe . HipHop is limitless . Thank You @WhiteHouse @BarackObama
