Earlier today, Vince Staples shared an opinion that may prove prickly, at least when it comes to old heads. In an interview with TIME, he spoke on some of the biggest things that went down in the '90s, and claimed he didn't know why the '90s get so much credit. He brought up points like, "Tupac and Biggie were the staples of the '90s, I think that's why the get the Golden Era credit. There's not a 50 Cent in the '90s. They didn't even have a Kanye."
His comments have ruffled a few feathers, and Noreaga appears to be one of them. The OG hopped on twitter to respond to Vince's comments, indirectly, though because he didn't mention him in the tweet. However soon enough they were @'ing back and forth, getting into a debate on the importance of '90s rap and it's place within hip-hop. Tyler, the Creator popped in for a moment, to side with Vince.
See some of the twitter back-and-forth that went down below. Where do you stand in this debate?
