Justin Timberlake does not come out unscathed.

Vic Mensa has been stepping up his activism of late. Last night continued that trend, as the Chicago rapper appeared on “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore” as a spokesperson for Respect My Vote. He joined in on a conversation about Jesse Williams’ incredibly moving speech at the 2016 BET Awards, specifically Justin Timberlake’s much-maligned tweets about the speech.

The Savemoney member calls out JT for not having stood up against the oppression of Black America in the two years prior to his tweets. It’s definitely refreshing to hear a prominent rapper with such strong political opinions when most treat politics with a 10 foot pole. He recently released a song in support of sexual equality, called “Free Love."
