A week after Lil' Wayne's Miami Heat outburst, Pitbull has risen to arms to defend his home state in general. Tapping into the recent 'Harlem Shake' phenomenon, he's delivered a diss track over the electronic dance hit called 'Welcome To Dade County'. Although tame in comparison to your average rap attack, Tunechi does get a good scolding.
After shouting out Lebron James, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade and Udonis Haslem, "Mr. Worldwide" reps Dade County specifically, and claims the New Orleans rapper broke the "rules and codes" of those streets with his verbal attack on the Heat. While talking up himself and his county, he warns him not to do so again:
"Here's a deposition: watch what you speak / Who’s the definition of Miami? Me."
"You talk Miami, if you talkin’ heat / Moral of the story: don’t shit where you eat."
During the track's outro, Pitbull claims a deep love and loyalty for the city, and expresses shock that Wayne could attack Miami this way after all the love Florida showed New Orleans during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Not to mention the fact that Weezy's been living in Miami for the past five years.
This isn't the first bit of negativity to be associated with Baauer's 'Harlem Shake.' Recently, Azealia Banks butted horns with the producer, his label boss Diplo and Perez Hilton over her remix of the track.
Stay tuned for Wayne's response. Given his temper as of late, it's unlikely he'll let this one go.
