Did Tyler, The Creator come out as gay in his latest album?

After Scum Fuck Flower Boy leaked and had fans running rampant online with excitement, a closer look at the lyrics showcases a new side of Tyler in which he confronts his own sexuality. Tyler has been commenting on his sexuality for years, at times fans didn't take what he was saying seriously.

In the leaked lyrics to "Garden Shed," courtesy of Genius, he raps,

"Garden shed for the garcons
Them feelings I was guarding
Heavy on my mind
All my friends lost
They couldn’t read the signs
I didn’t wanna talk and tell em’ my location
And I didn’t wanna walk
Truth is, since you kid, I thought it was a phase
Thought it would be like the Frank poof, gone
But, it’s still going on"

The metaphorical "Garden Shed" is representative of "coming out of the closet."

In 2015, he raps on the song "Fuck It," "How can I be homophobic when my boyfriend’s a fag?/ And we been hiding in the closet like our passion is fashion/ Still trying to come out."

He also tweeted an image he'd drawn of a "rainbow man" coming out of the closet, asking "is it safe?"

Tyler has been accused of being homophobic in his earlier works, maybe he's just working through his own feelings and sexuality.
