Tennessee is a quiet breeding ground for great rappers. TUT's Preacher's Son was one of the best tapes of 2015 on the low. Fans have been patiently awaiting new TUT material, and Tuesday morning they got their wish in the form of "G35," a soulful ode to his silver 2003 Infiniti G35.
TUT's mother gave him the car when he was 16, an age when he was "making friends, smoking weed, selling weed." His car played a central role in his teenage hijinks. He is joined on the track by TDE rapper and fellow Chattanooga native Isaiah Rashad, who over the weekend emerged from his dormant state to release his new single "Free Lunch."
Quotable Lyrics
Y'all so sleep nigga wake up
You on gas nigga bout to fuck the game up
So impressed, i'm so invested
Shit ain't been the same since, my mom and fresh prince
It's funny how we switched the game up
Took niggas to church like a church bus
Fuck the bullshit this is real rap
Preacher's Son a year old and it still slap
