Troy Ave has been rather silent the past few days as news of Taxstone's arrest in relation to the Irving Plaza shooting broke to the public. Today the artist issued the following statement with his lawyer and it looks as though he is content with the new developments in the ongoing case.
I view the charges brought today before the SDNY as a positive step in the direction of true justice for what occurred at Irving Plaza that night. As we have said since May 26, 2016, Roland Collins (Troy Ave) did not enter Irving Plaza with a handgun the night of the TI concert. He was not responsible for the four shots fired inside the Green Room that took the life of his dear friend (Ronald) McPhatter, and caused injury to him and two other innocent bystanders.
While the arrest of Taxstone is good news for Troy Ave, the rapper still has a few details to iron out as he still has an open lawsuit with Irving Plaza and has some other legal things going on currently.
Stay tuned for more details as they emerge.
