About three weeks ago, we got the news that Trinidad James had parted ways with his major label, Def Jam. Signed on the strength of his song "All GOld Everything," the Atlanta rapper's career had hit an impasse after he dropped his 10 Pc. Mild tape last year, and it was apparent that things weren't quite working out the way they were planned.
Many have been quick to lambast James for being "dropped" from the label, with popular opinion suggesting that Def Jam was unsatisfied by his work, but in a new interview, James says that was not the case. He cites "difference of creative ideas" as the main culprit for his split with the major label.
