The on-going saga of G.O.O.D. Music members offering up contradictory information regarding the possibility of a Cruel Winter LP continues. With Q-Tip, Big Sean, leading the charge by hinting at a follow up to Cruel Summer, fans were then met with Common and Hit-Boy saying that the album was not going to happen as too many artists were focused on individual projects. Now Travi$ Scott weighs in, and is adamant that Cruel Winter is on the horizon. He also provides a release date for his upcoming solo EP.
Wanting to get some insight from Kanye, Scott linked up with the producer in Paris and played some tracks off his upcoming Owl Pharaoh project. Talking to Complex, Travi$ insists that a new G.O.O.D. Music album is coming soon, “I was just in Paris fucking with 'Ye and playing him shit [from Owl Pharaoh]. I don't wanna talk too much, but Cruel Winter is happening for real. Fuck what niggas is talking about, that shit is for real. That shit is happening for sure."
Talking about his solo project, the G.O.O.D. Music artist says fans can expect some interesting collabos, and should see it near the end of the month, “It's coming. I put the release date for Feb. 22—it's gonna happen. I've got some ill tracks, I've got a joint with Bon Iver, [another one with] me and Toro Y Moi. I got some shit. That shit is gonna be nuts.”
Do what you will with the Cruel Winter info, because at this point with so many conflicting stories, it is difficult to discern who, if anyone besides Kanye, really knows anything.
