Ever since Jay Z took a moment to shout it out in "Roc Boys," "the Nike shoebox" has been canonized as a spot "for holding all this cash" in rap lore. Today, MMG's Tracy T and Atlanta beatmaker KE On The Track give us a track called "Dope Money" that features one such shoebox on its cover.
Taken from the pair's upcoming joint project (entitled Black Ceasar according to KE's SoundCloud, but more likely Black Caesar after they run a last-second spellcheck), "Dope Money" is a bonafide banger that speaks to the importance of rubber bands in securing your drug earnings.
Quotable Lyrics
Bought Bought a Phantom and it came with a driver
I'm a fly nigga, Tracy T a skydiver
Got a grip on the money like I got pliers
Burn a nigga block when I'm running with the fire
