"My fans about to go so crazy...I promise," wrote Tink on Twitter yesterday. Perhaps the young Chicago artist has even more in store, but this new track is a good start to making good on that promise. "Home" comes less than a week after Tink's last drop, "Circle the Block," and this one is produced by DR3AMFOREVER, the L.A. production team behind Chris Brown's "Picture Me Rollin."
The beat is comprised of delicate chimes, airy synths, and a huge bursts of bass, which sets the mood for Tink's sweet-but-tough lament on the single life. She's tired of being lost and ready to find something she can call "home," as expressed on the wonderfully concise hook. "Home" is Tink in full R&B mode, but that's not to say it bumps any less than her drill-leaning rap bangers.
With two huge tracks in a row, Tink must be gearing up for an imminent project. Stay tuned.
Quotable Lyrics
I've been single for way too long
Something's got to give, what am I doing wrong
I'm trying to find, something I can call, call home
Something I can call, call home
