Tinashe's quickly becoming the next big pop star. The girl has been touring the world with Nicki Minaj, as part of the opening acts on "The Pinkprint" tour, and soon she'll be joining Katy Perry for Perry's South American tour. The singer is always on her grind, needless to say, and after releasing her debut album Aquarius to positive reviews in 2014, she's quickly returning in the Fall for a sophomore effort. She's already recorded thirty records for it.
In a new interview with Billboard, Tinashe spoke on the forthcoming album and the contributors she's already locked in. Tinashe reveals she's turning to The Weeknd collaborator Max Martin, as well as Dr. Luke, for the new album, obviously eyeing pop stardom. "I don't see myself as an urban niche act," she says. "I want to have mainstream success that doesn't feel forced or label-made."
She's also worked with Travi$ Scott and Hit-Boy on a record called "Joyride," as well as Boi-1da on "Party Favors." We'll see the return of Dev Hynes on the as-of-yet-untitled LP, as well as producer Nic Nac.
RCA is planning to release the album in November, we'll keep you posted.
