"I don’t commend him for sitting and not honoring this country and our flag."

Colin Kaepernick shook up the sports world last weekend when he refused to stand for the National Anthem. Many former and present athletes weighed in on his decision, including Tiki Barber who briefly spoke with CBS This Morning to offer his opinion on the matter. That video clip starts at the 1:08 mark.

While the former Giants running back said he agrees with Kaepernick's desire to continue the narrative, he also made it clear that he does not support Kaep's actions by not honoring the country and our flag. This is a notion that current Giants wide receiver, Victor Cruz seemed to echo- saying, "You gotta respect the flag, and you gotta stand up with your teammates. It's bigger than just you, in my opinion."

49ers legend, Jerry Rice also expressed a similar feeling, tweeting thank Colin shouldn't disrespect the flag.

Regardless of those who have disagreed with his method of protest, Kaepernick has already said that he will continue to sit during the National Anthem, no matter what the league, his endorsers, or peers have to say.
