Tiger Woods took to Twitter Monday night to reveal that he is seeking professional help to manage his issues with medication.
"I'm currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder," Woods' statement said. "I want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and understanding especially the fans and players on tour.”
The statement comes a few weeks after Tiger was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle on the side of the road, where he was ultimately arrested for a DUI. He would later reveal in the following days that he had mixed prescription pills, and wasn't intoxicated on liquor.
Woods will head to court for the DUI in August. If he's able to convince the judge that he's back on track, hence why the “professional help” statement probably came out, he could get his charge knocked down to reckless driving and get to keep his driver's license.
We’ll continue to keep you posted moving forward though. Read his statement (below).
