Drake talks a lot about his accomplishments (though he'll claim otherwise), and while he has a Grammy and a hundred Hot 100 placements to his name, he's still not able to brag about topping the Billboard singles charts -- because he never has.
"Hotline Bling" is the closest Drizzy has come to claiming the top spot (as a lead artist) since "Best I Ever Had" in 2009, and -- as he shared on Instagram recently -- he's hoping that this is the one to go all the way.
Right now, the only man who stands between Drake and his goal is The Weeknd, who currently holds the number one slot with "The Hills". Unfortunately, this week Drizzy has not made a move to unseat Abel, with the "The Hills" and "Hotline Bling" sitting at number one and number two once again.
Of course, the speculation is that Drake will take the crown next week after the video for "Bling" hits the net today. It certainly sounds reasonable, but we'll have to wait and see. Either way, Toronto is winning right now.
