A new Weeknd album is coming... sometime.

With all of the hype that's surrounded The Weeknd since his music began surfacing on blogs in early 2011, it's easy to forget that his one actual album, 2013's Kiss Land, underperformed both commercially and critically. This summer, he'll get a chance to avoid the sophomore slump with a new album, which arrives on August 28th.

The news was broken by Revolt, who confirmed the date with Republic Records. Also of note is a tweet from the label's executive vice president, Charlie Walk, that hints that a track from the album will be released in June. Check that out below, and let us know if you're planning on copping this.

Update: The Weeknd stymies this report.
