The Game's fallout with 50 Cent shortly after the release of The Documentary in 2005 led him to release not one, not two, but dozens of diss tracks against 50 and G-Unit. While Game has taken shots at other rappers -- and non-rappers ("I'd kick David Beckham's ass on any given day") -- roughly 97% percent of his diss tracks have attempted to humiliate and emasculate G-Unit.
In light of Game's new Meek Mill diss track "92 Bars," let us revisit five of the most memorable diss tracks released over the course of his prolific diss career.
"100 Bars (The Funeral)"
Target: Lloyd Banks & 50 Cent
Length: 6:10
Quotables: "The protégé of a bitch, nigga softer than a Tae Bo Kick / You Billy Blanks on them porno flicks"
The Game's second favorite punching bag after 50 Cent, and he spends the first verse of "100 Bars" relentlessly insinuating that Lloyd Banks is, in fact, gay. He released the diss track in late 2006 to promote his then-unreleased sophomore album Doctor's Advocate, which lends credence to the notion that he only cooked up beef with Meek Mill to promote his upcoming album 1992.
"My Bitch"
Target: 50 Cent, Jay Z, Suge Knight
Length: 4:42
Quotables: "I was introduced to her back in 96 / She had a wavy haircut and some big ass lips"
Using the classic three birds/one stone approach, Game apportions a verse each to 50 Cent, Jay Z, and Suge Knight, treating each one as a woman who uses her sexual wiles to finesse her way into elite circles. His beef with Jay Z is one of the most one-sided beefs in rap history. "I was probably one of the only cats that went at Jay Z's neck and still had a career after," Game said in a 2012 interview with Vibe. "Jay never responded. I think he knows I’m reckless and there’s nothing I can’t say."
"Gayo" (Interlude)
Target: Tony Yayo
Length: 1:26
Quotables: "Gayoooooooooo"
The Game is constantly bagging Tony Yayo for old (on "400 Bars" he raps, "Buttersoft Banks, you a bitch man, me and you was cool 'til 50 unscrewed your kickstand, and Yayo, turn in your senior citizen wristband") despite the fact that he's only a year older. On "Gayo," an interlude that appeared on Game's third G-Unit diss mixtape Stop Snitchin, Stop Lyin, Game yells "Gayooooooooo" over a stereotypical club beat.
"Down N Out"
Target: Lloyd Banks
Length: 3:30
Quotables:
"And that's how it went / At Hot 97 we came
Had 30 niggas with me / Niggas that sport the Dickies
Hopping out of cabs / We just want to talk to 50"
About a month after The Game dropped The Documentary, 50 Cent publicly dropped The Game from G-Unit during an interview on Hot 97. The Game immediately rolled up on Hot 97's offices with his entourage and attempted to rush the premises. One of his homeboys was shot in the ensuing scuffle. "Down n Out" samples Cam'ron and Kanye West's "Down and Out" and offers a retelling of the Hot 97 incident. While the track is mostly a Lloyd Banks diss, Game alleges that he chased down Tony Yayo.
"300 Bars N Runnin'"
Target: G-Unit
Length: 14:42
Quotables:
"Even behind bars, I'm still gon shine
I'm 10 years younger than Yayo, I get out, I'm fine
Then I go right back, nigga I pop mines
How you gonna drop Olivia? You only drop dimes"
Like "Down n Out," "300 Bars" appeared on The Game's 2005 DJ Skee-hosted mixtape You Know What It Is Vol. 3, which basically amounted to one giant G-Unit diss mixtape. On it's cover, Game stands with a saw in one hand and 50 Cent's head in the other.
