The most popular meme of inauguration weekend was a clip of white supremacist Richard Spencer, a leader of the alt-right movement, getting punched in the face by a protestor while giving an interview. Spencer had been attempting to explain why he wears a meme-inspired pin of Pepe the Frog when a man cloaked in all black entered the frame out of nowhere and socked him in the side of the face. Using popular songs, the clip has been "remixed" many times over, and the ensuing memes are now the hottest items on Twitter. The punch looks especially spectacular when arriving in sync with the famous Metro Boomin beat tag on Kanye West's "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1."
