Major League Baseball announced that Texas Rangers second baseman, Rougned Odor, has been suspended eight games for punching Jose Bautista in the jaw, sparking a benches-clearing brawl between the Rangers and Blue Jays over the weekend.
For those of you who have been living under a rock, it was one of the wildest sports brawls of the modern era and definitely worth checking out. It wasn't your typical "hold me back" baseball scuffles.
On top of the eight-game suspension, Odor was also fined a mere $5,000, according to Yahoo Sports, but he still doesn't regret popping Joey Bats in his grill.
Despite the fact that the benches cleared and multiple players were throwing hands, Odor is the only player who will receive any formal punishment from the MLB.
Blue Jays manager, John Gibbons, was slapped with a 3-game suspension for returning to the field after being ejected earlier on in the game.
