Taylor J gained a legion of new fans with this past summer's 1991 mixtape and the "reloaded" version he dropped in September. Last month, to cap off his biggest year yet, the Minnesota up-and-comer released a banger, "Side Effects," to which he's now dropped the new video. The visual comes soon before the release of Taylor's next tape, The Wakeup, on which "Side Effects" will land.
As "Side Effects" follows Taylor's November video to "White Rain," the young St. Paul emcee is quickly proving he has a keen visual aesthetic to match his rapping skills. The black-and-white clip gives an eerie feel to match Taylor's raps as he explores the alluring but potentially dangerous "Side Effects" of becoming a buzzing rapper.
Tell us what you think of the new video, and stay on the lookout for The Wakeup.
