Sure, we've heard remixes to "Royals," before, it's been covered from Rick Ross to The Weekend, and now, T-Pain. This remix is something which T-Pain calls a "T-Mix," and it's not the first one he's done. It's basically an auto-tuned, "T-Pain-ified" version of a song. With Nappy Boy's Young Cash on the track, of course.
He spoke to this remix, talking to Rap-Up TV, saying, "I don’t want people to think that I just only T-Mix hood songs and street songs.” Adding, “So I’ma go ahead and T-Mix that ‘Royals’ and get some royalties off of that thang."
Getting some royalties off of "Royals." Very clever, T-Pain. Very clever, indeed.
Quotable Lyrics:
"If I didn't have diamonds in my chain/ That Chevy horn sounding like a train/ We made a movie/ And I'm proud of my address/ We're repping Ridge Road it down/ Four doors on a Chevy"
