Sylvan LaCue (Fka QuESt) ended 2015 with another reputable project, E V A N G E L I N E EP, named after his new girl. LaCue is now poised to fuck up the game on the low in 2016 with his forthcoming project Far From Familiar. He continued the rollout this morning with the release of a new single called "Emeryville."
"Emeryville" has none of the confessional nature that defined his last single "Fall From Grace." Both songs were produced by LaCue's homie Linzi Jai. Rather, it is a letter to his girl (Evangeline, is that you on the cover art??) -- in his words, it is “the struggle to admit that you want to belong to someone who’s struggling to admit that they want to belong to you too.”
Quotable Lyrics
So let's go now far away, it's hard to say
The things we know we need
So in the night, baby
Know that it isn't only me
