In the last couple of years, Yung Simmie, once a member of the Raider Klan, has become a sensation in his native Miami and the surrounding areas in South Florida. He hasn't yet received the attention he deserves on a national scale, though that will likely change as he's quickly earning legions of new fans. Last year's Basement Music 3 was a huge success, showing him as a turn-up king who can go back and forth between flows that are smooth and trippy and those that are tough and relentless. He's just dropped It's Simmie Season, his first tape of 2016, and it's a good show of all that he's capable of.
Led by the previously released tracks "Kill Bill" (the bracing opener) and "Traffic," It's Simmie Season contains 10 tracks in total. There are no features save for one from Simmie's fellow Dade County all-star Denzel Curry, who features on "Shoot Da 3." The beats come courtesy of HIGHAF, Jaysplash, Louie Haze, and YungIceyBeats.
