With every project he releases Deniro Farrar expands his passion, technical skill, and fan base. Today, he releases Red Book, Vol. 1, his first project since June's Mind of a Gemini. The new 6-track EP derives inspiration from Sun Tzu, Angela Davis, and 2Pac, and literature he saw in Black Panther documentaries.
"The music on the EPs is the foundation," he says. "I wanted to make a revolutionary body of work that anybody can understand. I'm telling people things they need to know whether it's about oppression, economics, food, or gentrification. It's all the blueprint."
Farrar hopes his music can help listeners become more aware of injustices plaguing society and eager to combat them. "I think we can get back to where we need to be, but it's going to take a lot of work," he says. "I'm watching it all around me. I just want people to open their eyes and wake the fuck up."
