Statik Selektah is working with KXNG Crooked (aka Crooked I) on a joint album, STATIK KXNG, and today they've decided to drop off their first single from the album. The record has jazzy vibes, and it's altogether smooth, from KXNG Crooked's flow, to Jessica Quintero's soft background vocals. Crooked keeps the listener on their toes with his dexterous lyrics and word play, while teasing the fact that he gets to listen to unreleased Eminem records.
Statik and KXNG's joint album is slated to drop on February 16 via Showoff/Penalty Records. You can purchase the first single "Dead Or In Jail" on iTunes below.
Quotable Lyrics
I'm from the mass-terror era
You from the masked-error era
So never ever compare yourself
To that rapper that'll leave your New Era
Drippin marinara, for a pair of paramedics
To repair ya where ya layin at
