Last week, Lex Luger is said to have proposed a beat battle between himself Southside, Metro Boomin, and Sonny Digital. However, Southside did not take the challenge too kindly.
Southside responded to Luger's $50,000 offer in an Instagram video, laughing off a competition valued at any less than $100k. Today, the two producers took jabs at one another on Twitter and Instagram. Luger insisted that he "made" Southside, and eventually called off the battle.
Later on, Southside posted another clip to Instagram in which he took things to a more personal level, claiming that Luger had recently asked to sign with him, as well as echoing Luger's suggestion that the battle would not be happening: "Fuck this beat battle shit, now it's lit."
Here's hoping that these two can work things out and -- if not beat battle -- make some new music together.
