Snoop Dogg's new studio album, BUSH, dropped this week, and its the first time Snoop has teamed up with Pharrell Williams for an entire project. The creative partnership between the two artists has been proven over many successful singles, including "Beautiful," "From Tha Chuuuch To Da Palace," and "Let's Get Blown," and while everyone has a different favorite, few would argue with "Drop It Like It's Hot" being the quintessential record from the two masterminds.
Now over ten years old, the R&G single still sounds like it came from the future, sporting an icy minimalist beat that we'd later hear used on Slim Thug's "Already Platinum" and Clipse's "Mr. Me Too". Still it never came together quite as effortlessly as it did here.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm a nice dude, with some nice dreams
See these ice cubes, see these Ice Creams?
Eligible bachelor, million dollar boat
That's whiter than what's spilling down your throat
Drop It Like It's Hot
