Last week, TDE announced the identity of John Doe #2: Inglewood crooner SiR. SiR celebrated the announced by releasing a track called "W$." He returned yesterday with "Ooh Nah Nah," a slow-burning bedroom jam that appears to sample the drums from "Hotline Bling" or Timmy Thomas' 1973 "Why Can't We Live Together."
SiR sings with a low-flying, self-assured presence; the song's guest-star Masego puts on an impressive clinic of vocal elasticity. There is more than one way to skin a cat.
SiR's HER TOO EP arrives on February 10th. Listen to "Ooh Nah Nah" and buy it on iTunes.
Quotable Lyrics
Your heartbeat woke me up this morning
Still got the taste of you on the tip of my tongue
So beautiful when you sleeping
May fall in love again if I stay too long
