One of the most intriguing prospects out of Chicago, Saba has been active with the features but has kept a moderately low profile since he dropped ComfortZone in 2014. Today he began the rollout of his upcoming project Bucket List by premiering its lead single, "Symmetry," on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show.
“‘Symmetry’ is about finding your other half, or better half, even,” Saba told NYLON of the song. “They say the most beautiful people have symmetrical features, and that that’s what beauty is. I tried to take that concept and expand on it to say that symmetry in life is when everything lines up, things just start to make sense.”
The single is consistent with Saba's conceptual style of hip hop. It unravels over the course of several or more listens. Give it a listen and read HNHH's interview with Saba here.
Quotable Lyrics
When I was 15 I would sit and fantasize
Bout the one day I could take my mom advice
This month a couple record deals gone get declined
Cause you were hard to find
To find and fall in love and spend my life and die with by my side
